Aaaaand we're live! Welcome to the FNF: Gerapo Rhythm Devlog!
So, first and foremost...
What's the Deal?
As one may have guessed from the title, this is a Yo-kai Watch based mod taking place within my Yokai Watch AU, 'Yokaind Life'. The mod features two of the main cast members, Karrie and Rags, with the latter acting very...odd. And Yokai is why!
...I'll see myself out.
ANYWAY, this FNF Mod will have:
- One week with three songs, with all three difficulties charted
- Custom UI based on the games
- Custom menu music, some of which being covers of songs from the Yokai Watch OST
- Unlockable costumes for the player and opponent, which double as achievements.
- Dialogue...lots and lots of dialogue
- A little dollop of voice acting for both of our lovely main characters.
- ...and plenty more little things!

What's Been Done?
Funnily enough, even though this is my first devlog post, this mod has actually been in development for...a long time, since around 2023.
In fact, as a little treat, here's some concept art from back then.

As you can see, Karrie is singing against a hungry Rags...in their bedroom....at night...and she's wearing PJ's--
Okay, I'm gonna stop messing around, this concept is very very VERY heavily inspired by Bloody Bedtime.

B3 Remixed (rest in peace, and best wishes to the team!!) is a mod that I hold near and dear to my heart. The moment Bloody Bedtime came out, I--the sucker for the horror hunger trope that I am--fell hook line and sinker.
I came up with this concept about a few months after the update dropped. Now, of course, the mod has evolved past this initial concept, but the core idea of "I have no food and I must sing" is still there, just executed differently.
Why exactly am I bringing this up? In short, it's because 1) I feel like hiding this phase of the mod would be disingenuous and 2) I want to show how far the mod's come!
And come far we have!









Look at all that shiny new stuff! Mm-mm, yummy yummy.
So far, here's what's been implemented:
- A shiny new main menu
- A custom freeplay menu
- Custom Arrows/Game UI
- A hardcoded custom pause screen
- A Results screen
- A custom Game Over Screen
- Karrie's sprites for song 1
- Song three's mechanic/events
- A costume system that saves and loads.
So quite a bit! Which is good!
Since this intro is getting a bit long, I'll break down some of the individual stuff in seperate logs when I get the time. For now...we keep moving along.
